Now with the RaudioStream Audio Streaming service, you have a free Android application published and ready to use in the Google Play Store. Applies for new and old clients with any of our plans.

Since we took over the operation of RaudioStream, we have been listening to our clients and that is why, today it is a reality that with the purchase of any of our plans, you have the right to publish an Android application in the Google Play Store without having to pay plus. The only thing you must have is active service for it to continue working.

How does it work?

With the purchase of any of our plans and when you already have at least two months of contracted service (immediately without three months contracts), our team will proceed to the development and publication of the application for your radio. This could take a couple of days while it passes approval by Google.

What should I do?

All you need is to send a support ticket in your Client Area to RaudioStream, indicating that you want to have your application published in the Play Store, our team will ask for a few data necessary for the publication and in a matter of days you will receive a response with the App URL when Google The Hague published in the Play Store.

Why is the App branded RaudioStream?

In the Play Store, the Impressa Network will appear as a developer and within the app the RaudioStream icon and a link to our website will appear but don't worry, you can eliminate this if it is inconvenient for you by paying a small additional charge that will be charged to your account.

Am I entitled to the application apk?

The APK of the application is the property of the Impressa Network, what we want to deliver is the possibility of using it with our streaming audio service and it will remain in operation if or only if you have your streaming audio service with RaudioStream is active.

Why only for Android?

Don't worry, we are working hard to also bring it to the Apple App Store and on other platforms such as Apple Car, Android Auto and Alexa.

Audio Streaming with SSL now included with RaudioStream

From and to all of our new and old RaudioStream customers, the Audio Streaming service with SSL will be included in the price of your plan.

As part of our continuous improvement of our services and since we assumed the RaudioStream business line, we have been making improvements requested by our clients, seeking to strengthen our commercial relationship. That is why we have decided to eliminate the additional SSL charge, and now it will include the value of the contracted service.

If you still do not have this service, you can request information on how to apply it to your service so that you can enjoy the benefits offered by an SSL connection (green candidate) in your transmission url.

What is SSL and why should I use it?

SSL certificates are used to assure the visitor of a website, its authenticity, ensuring that the website belongs to who it claims to be. Having the URL of your transmission under SSL will allow your audio to be listened to in any browser without the annoying restrictions of the mixed content of your web page, which translates into more listeners for your radio.

When do you need to use a digital certificate?

Currently, securing the transmission of information is the main application of SSL certificates. However, with the increasing incidence of identity theft, the protection of personally identifiable information becomes increasingly important. This category of data would include identity and social security numbers, in addition to email addresses.

What is SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protects data transferred over http by using encryption activated by an SSL certificate on a server. SSL certificates contain a public key and a private key. The public key is used to encrypt the information and the private key to decrypt it. When a browser is directed to a secure domain, an "SSL presentation" occurs that authenticates the client and server and establishes an encryption method and a unique session key. They can then start a secure session that protects the privacy and integrity of the message.

Step 1.
For the install On your pc it's very simple download latest version of winamp here (Winamp)
Download Winamp install it first (For Windows)
and Download SHOUTcast DSP Plug-In For Winamp (For Windows)

Once you have installed the DSP, start Winamp, open the preferences(CTRL+P) and click on the DSP/Effects subcategory under the Plug-ins tree. Please refer to the picture below:

f you see "Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v2.3.2" in the right panel, then you have correctly installed the SHOUTcast Broadcast DSP Plug-in.

Step 2.
Select the "Output" tab at the top of your DSP window. Select "Output 1" under the selection box, and fill in all of the following fields properly.

Address: Here, you need to enter the server IP that was given to you in the welcome email you received. Make sure that you put in the proper server IP, or else you will not be able to connect.

Port: In this field, you need to enter the port that was given to you in your welcome email. It should contain 4 numbers. Once again, this must be set properly or else you will be unable to connect.

Password: Last, you need to enter the encoder (source) password that was given to you in your welcome email. Enter this here, and make sure there are no mistakes. (Common mistakes include using the copy and paste method. There is sometimes a space added during the process that will cause an invalid password error)

Step 3.

Yellowpage setup (streaming server display details)

Click on the "Directory" tab right above where you entered all of the previous information.

If you'd like your server to be listed in the SHOUTcast directory, check the "Make this server public" box, and fill in all of the information below the box in a proper manner.

Be sure to check the "Enable Title Updates" and the two boxes that say "Auto" in
order to show your users the title of the song that is playing.

Step 4.

Encoder Settings (select streaming audio format) and Select the "Encoder" tab at the top of your DSP window.

Make sure under the selection box, you have selected "Encoder 1".
The Encoder Type can be set to either MP3 or AAC+, our servers support both.

MP3 audio sounds alright, but is compatible with just about every media player on the market. AAC+ is only compatible with Winamp and Windows Media Player (with a plugin), but sounds much better at lower qualities. Be sure to choose wisely.

In the Encoder Settings drop down, select the bitrate that you ordered from us, and be sure that the line you selected has "Stereo" at the end, so individual sounds will come out of both of your listeners speakers.

Note: If you try streaming at a bitrate higher than what you have ordered you will not be able to stream and your server may shut itself off.

Step 5.

Input settings (select the input audio source)

Select the "Input" tab at the top of your DSP window. Unless you have specific soundcard input settings, or want to talk on your stream, select "Winamp" at the Input Device. As every soundcard is different and individual, we cannot give any tutorials for the Soundcard Input.

Step 6.

Go back to the "Output" tab in your DSP window. Make sure "Output 1" is selected, and then click the connect button. In the status box above the button, it should give a time and then "Sent xxxx bytes".

Congratulations, you have begun to stream audio!

You may now open any Winamp-compatible audio file in your player, and it will stream to our servers.

Shoutcast with unlimited listeners

We have been in the business of streaming audio services under SHOUTcast for a long time. Since 2004 to be specific, we are now one of the fastest growing companies in this type of service, so much so we deployed two new brands calls RaudioPlayer and RaudioStream to meet new needs that our customers had.

Recently we have seen many websites and companies alleged that claim to offer unlimited audio streaming services at prices really low. The purpose of this post is to clarify what these companies or individuals are doing and avoid falling into these scams.

Let's see how things are. A company X charges you $ 50 per year and offers unlimited traffic and listeners. This means you could have 100, 1,000, 10,000, a million or even 10 million listeners connected to time without any additional cost. Would be saying that these companies are able to offer something similar to what Google and Facebook offer, which is able to support so many users connected to their systems at the same time.

It may sound exaggerated, but it's true because there is no difference between what they do Facebook and Google. Receive network connections and process them on servers on the network. Is exactly the same proportionately for each case.

Points to consider:

Every single computer system in the world is limited, just as each network connection has a limit, it is not true that there are unlimited Internet connections. Not even that paid to Internet service provider is unlimited, let alone costs $ 50 a year.

Google and Facebook have large global infrastructures (which still are not "unlimited") that cost millions of dollars a week to maintain and run. Do you really think that a company or person can offer unlimited service for just $ 50 a year?, Not really a science true as spend Facebook and Google to keep their networks, but if I have clearly not $ 50 per year.

A SHOUTcast server requires obligation prompted a number of listeners in its configuration file to start and the "unlimited" is not accepted by this type of servers, making it impossible to configure a port to work with listeners SHOUTcast unlimited.

A SHOUTcast server is not designed to cope with more than a few thousand connections in one instance, it would take several networked servers to supply a single customer connection with more than 5 thousand listeners connected to the same real time.

With this as a base, do you really think that these companies or individuals may provide listeners with unlimited traffic unlimited for only $ 50 a year?.

The purpose of this post is to alert people and not be fooled. We recommend hiring companies with appreciation, companies that sell what you offer the right price, companies can respond to a request for support, companies that actually have the infrastructure to take what they offer, and experienced business professionals at your service .

There are many companies that can offer services to SHOUTcast fair price and without guile, but we hope you can take a look at our portfolio of services RaudioStream, RaudioPlayer and Audio Streaming. These 3 brands are part of our line of business for radio stations. Take a look and evaluate on their own what we are doing for the Internet radio stations.
